With our Over 50s Life Cover, they can benefit from additional free additional services, including:

Care advice service

Customers can claim 100% of their life cover when diagnosed with a terminal illness after 2 years, less any Serious Illness Benefit already paid giving your clients the benefit of the policy pay out to help them manage through this period of their life. As the policy has now paid out, cover will cease at this point.

Helping your clients select the right care

Getting the right support in later life is an important decision for your clients. There are so many options available - from residential care and sheltered accommodation to home care, it can be hard to know which is right for them.
OneFamily has teamed up with care experts Grace Consulting who can offer your clients independent, professional advice and:

  • a personalised care advice service
  • advice on care providers and financial requirements
  • home visits to make things easier for you if needed

Health support

Our Health Support Service, provided by RedArc, gives your clients one-to-one personal support from their own Personal Nurse Advisor. The moratorium period doesn’t apply to this service, so it is available to your client and their family from commencement of the policy.

RedArc can provide:

  • Emotional support to help your client and their loved ones to cope with the diagnosis of a serious or terminal illness
  • Practical support by providing information on your client's illness and advice throughout their treatment
  • One off nurse home visit
  • Second medical opinion
  • A programme of therapy such as occupational therapy, speech therapy, complementary therapy and physiotherapy
  • Access to RedArc's network of specialist charities including Macmillan Nurses, self help groups, care providers and care equipment providers
  • RedArc provide their service during office hours, Monday to Friday

There is no limit to the number of times your client can speak to their Personal Nurse Adviser and they can continue to receive the support for as long as they need to.

Helping your clients through a difficult time

Provides practical advice and support to help your client understand what needs to be done following the death of a loved one and what your client is required to do and when.

There can be a great deal of emotional stress involved following the death of a loved one. Dealing with all the associated legal, tax and administrative processes can be an additional strain and many people are unsure what needs to be done.

The Co-operative Legal Services gives advice on registering a death and the different forms that need to be completed. They will provide your clients with support and help them understand what needs to be done and the best way to complete everything involved.

This includes helping your clients understand what probate is and whether it’s required and who can administer the estate.

All OneFamily customers can take advantage of the advice free of charge.

Legal advice line

Legal advice on a range of issues

The OneFamily Legal Advice Line, provided by The Co-operative Legal Services, offers clear, free initial advice on a wide range of legal issues including:

  • Employment law such as dismissal, redundancy, harassment and equal pay
  • The sale and purchase of goods or services, including household goods and insurance
  • What to do when moving home and the conveyancing process
  • Criminal law, including motoring offences like speeding or driving without care and attention
  • Family law advice
  • Rights and responsibilities of tenants.
  • What to do following an accident or injury
  • All OneFamily customers can take advantage of the initial advice free of charge.
